I made the move first.
Eight years ago, Arizona was the unfamiliar place on the other side of my family's decision.
Now I help families make that same leap with more context, more honesty and someone physically present when they cannot be. That is why I film the streets, walk the lots, explain the tradeoffs and answer my own phone.

Why I call Arizona home
I came for the sunshine. I stayed for the life we built here.
My family and I moved here from Chicago about nine years ago, so I understand what it feels like to choose Arizona before it feels familiar.
I love that winter means being outside, that a morning hike can turn into an afternoon by the pool, and that there is always another corner of the Valley to explore. The sunshine, open space and access to the outdoors have given our family a lifestyle that is hard to imagine giving up.
Arizona is not perfect—and I will never pretend the summer heat is easy—but it feels like home. That honest perspective is what I bring to every family considering the move: what I love, what takes adjustment and what you should know before deciding if it is right for you.
My honest take after nearly a decade in Phoenix
P.S. I'm not really leaving—but the thumbnail got a lot of clicks.
